There are some great eco-friendly brands out there who are reshaping the mainstream consumer market. For an eco-friendly brand to truly stand out to you as a consumer, we think they need to have three things covered:
- They need to be convenient and good quality. You live a busy life and time is precious. If an eco-friendly product requires you to change your daily routine then you are much less likely to choose it.
- They need to be good value for your money. Eco-friendly products are made to last with sustainably sourced materials and ingredients, and the company’s staff and suppliers are properly looked after. All of this adds to the costs of these products. However, as eco-friendly products are becoming more popular and these brands grow, prices are more comparable to those less friendly alternatives.
- They need to be cool. You want to buy products that are stylish and desirable, not just because they are good for the planet.
We’ve picked out a selection of our favourite eco-friendly brands who are leading the way with this in 2024. Have we missed out one of your favourites? Let us know in the comments.
Please note, Memphies has not received payments of any kind to include a brand in this list. We just genuinely like their vibe.

Founded over 50 years ago by the legend that is Yvon Chouinard, Patagonia has been leading the charge for quite some time. They are not just an activist company themselves, but enable their customers (Patagonia Action Works), start-ups (Tin Shed Ventures) and other eco-friendly brands to give back to the planet (1% for the Planet).
They’ve achieved all of this while creating an iconic line of fashionable clothing and outdoor gear. They also make it easy for you to fix the Patagonia items you own, cutting down on consumption and saving you money in the long run.

Making toilet paper stylish is no easy feat, but Who Gives A Crap have done just that, while also making it very competitively priced (see our price comparison post here). You’ll know when your friends use Who Gives A Crap as it’ll be proudly jazzing up their bathroom, not shoved in a sink cupboard.
Who Gives A Crap donate 50% of their profits to ensure everyone has access to clean water and a toilet within our lifetime. So far they have raised nearly £7 million pounds towards this cause (yes, seven million!).

If you haven’t heard of these guys before…RELAX, it is just water. Liquid Death’s evil mission is to make people laugh and get more of them to drink more healthy beverages more often, all while helping to kill plastic pollution. And we are here for it! A perfect example that eco-friendly does not equal boring.
They’re available in lots of shops in the UK, nudging those single-use plastic bottles out of the way. Check out their website here.

Chilly’s reusable products certainly have their own distinctive style. We always knew them for their sleek water bottles that keep your cold drinks cold for 24 hours, and your hot drinks hot for 12 hours (we’re not sure of the science behind that…we never were very good at listening in school though). They’ve now added a strong selection of sports bottles, coffee cups, food pots and even travel cutlery. We love that convenience and quality is central to all of their products.

It’s tough not to love Oatly as a company, even if you’re not in to your milk alternatives. Their passion to the cause and a truly quality product is tough to ignore, and if that doesn’t get you, their humour will. We challenge you to spend a few minutes on their website and not be at least a little bit intrigued, or have a little chuckle to yourself. Come back and let us know. We’ll be waiting…glass of Oatly in hand.
Check out Oatly here. (we’ve never seen a website that scrolls side to side either)

We’re big believers in closed loop recycling, and Bower Collective have done amazing work in creating natural products that get rid of plastic waste. Their fancy dispensers are easily refilled with their BowerPacks which can then be sent back to be reused. No mess, no faff. The refill revolution at its finest!
The Memphies team have had a good debate and the ‘Uplifting Orange’ body wash is our favourite. It’s a good way to start the day smelling fresh.
